NYT article on Edgewater Retail
With bonus comment from John Candelmo describing contamination at Unilever as minor.

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
This certainly merits a letter to the New York Times. How disappointing that they would only focus on the commercial gains and not the community costs of development.

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
Robbio... you better jump on this IMMEDIATELY! How dare anyone write a favorable article about Edgewater? You need to make sure they know just how terrible it is here!

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
Did I say it was terrible? Or are you again jumping IMMEDIATEY to put words in my mouth?
And, are you saying that ALL things are WONDERFUL now? That the community was planned in the best possible way?

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
If it's blue, someone dumped blue paint in it.

Quote:

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
There you go again, putting words in people's mouths. It would just be easier if you admitted you loved the way Edgewater was planned.

Re: NYT article on Edgewater Retail
First paragraph of the article:
"When Lois Fein moved to Edgewater in 1984, the three-and-a-half-mile-long borough, which sits eight minutes south of the George Washington Bridge, had a waterfront so blighted with dilapidated old factories that it was impossible to see the Hudson River." First of all, the entire length of waterfront was NOT blighted with old factories and, though the current buildings may not be dilapidated, it's still just as hard to see the Hudson River. |
