Little League field bids and award

Attached are the bids for the Little League field and the award. I'm not sure how Neglia is still involved given they were ostensibly fired.

Thumbs down Re: Little League field bids and award

Very strange indeed. Neglia was fired as the borough Engineering firm and replaced on January 6, 2015, during the reorganization meeting, by the mayor and council (otherwise known as Bryan Christiansen).

Neglia was the firm that reported that toxic fill was dumped in Veteran's Park by Waterside Construction.
This Mayor and Council has a history of circling their wagons and protecting the bosses, (none of whom are the residents of Edgewater) instead they go after anyone who dares to speak out and tell the truth.

Neglia along with Terms Environmental, LSPR, were both casualties of the Mayor and Council's allegiance with the developer who dumped the toxic fill in our children's park.

Now they are going to cover the waste with an astro turf rug to cover it up.

Re: Little League field bids and award

It is strange that Neglia was permitted to review the bids and make a recommendation as to who to hire after they had been fired by the Borough. Perhaps they didn't do such a bad job after all. Wonder who wanted them fired? Maybe the guy who is suing them now?

By the way, the Courts have made recent decisions that the municipalities still have to pay for their experts even if they fire them if the lawsuit was started while they worked for the Borough. This Mayor and Council is brilliant - BRILLIANT!!

So now we have to pay Neglia to be involved in the case and pay to defend them and pay the new engineer for his input into the case. All this just to save their favorite son some money.

Hey, you know what this Mayor and Council is saying to us taxpayers who are footing the bill for all of this ($13 million and climbing) -

Re: Little League field bids and award

Which again begs the question I've been asking forever; either the powers that be are incredibly stupid or they're on the take, so which is it?

Kate,
That is a good question for the mayor and council, (AKA Bryan Christiansen).
