If at first you don't succeed

I think this is the fifth time the attached bill has been introduced. And, here's a trip down memory lane.

Re: If at first you don't succeed

Following is from Alison. Copy of the bill is attached to the first post in this thread.

Please communicate your support for Bill A454 to the following New Jersey Assemblymen listed below, all of whom are members of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. The Committee needs to hear from you to know that this is an issue you care about and want heard and voted on!
Phone calls are good, but letters, via fax, post office, or e-mail, are better.
Please cc me at: alison@edgewaterparrots.com, if you can.
Thanks, in advance, for your kind efforts!
Here is a sample letter you can copy and paste:
=============================
Dear Assemblyman __________,
As a resident of __________, I urge you to post Bill A 454 for a hearing, and cast your vote to de-list Monk Parakeets from the "Potentially Dangerous Species" list. There is no evidence supporting their place on this list, and they bring many American citizens, like me, great joy.
As long as they remain on the list, humane treatment of the birds is not insured, and the birds can be indiscriminately killed. It is in your power to prevent this awful practice.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
(your name here)
