New York Times covers Edgewater

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/07/ny...parrotsnj.html

Very cool that Susan and Michelle, Mr. Prifti, and SALSA and the pizza place are mentioned. And check out Alison's hair. She alternately grows it really long and then cuts it off and donates it to a charity that makes human hair wigs for cancer patients. Human hair wigs are very expensive and this is an enormous contribution. Somehow, I think it must make her hair grow faster.

The parrots are fine with me, but those damn geese have GOT to go.

Why would you think it would make her hair grow faster? It's a funny thing that someone could be so kind to parrots, yet down right nasty to human beings. I have had the displeasure of obtaining e-mails between councilwoman Holtje and Alison and find her to be a very nasty woman, just like her friend Holtje.

That's a beautiful thing for Alison to do. Good looking lady, too.

I dunno. She must not be all good or all bad because what she does for the parrots and does with her hair is good stuff. Most of us are pretty complicated.

Yes, Valory, I remember those emails too... Birds of a feather?

Easy to say when you, your family, or your friends are not the subject of the constant attacks. Some people are all bad, they just hid behind pleasantries better than others. They disarm their victim with false charm, and than attack.

Are you saying the parrot lady, Alison, is doing all that?

Re: New York Times covers Edgewater

All I know is that Alison has always been nice to me. Some of the people I love and respect most in life haven't always been nice to me, and I've heard people who are supposedly other people's friends say horrible things about them.

Val has a right to judge on how she was treated, as does everyone else, but we need to accept that we make exceptions for people all the time, even when they aren't nice. Alison has never said anything bad about Val to me, but other people who are Val's friends have. If I had a penny for everyone who has said something horrible about me, I'd be on the Riviera ordering a glass of champagne from the cabana boy. It is all complicated.

Seriously, you have a problem. I'll pray that some of Alison's generosity of spirit and kindness comes your way.

Re: New York Times covers Edgewater

Valory has a generosity of spirit which has kept her working for Edgewater 24/7 for years. That is not deniable. Period.

Valory fights for what she believes. She isn't fighting to win a popularity contest or to position herself for a run at a state or county office. You might not like her, but you can't dismiss her work.

If you want to pray for someone, I'd suggest Corzine. He needs some divine intervention.

Huh? I never said anything about Valory's generosity of spirit. My comment is in response to what she said was happening to her, attacks etc on her family and friends. I hope that some of Alison's generosity of spirit and kindness comes Valory's way, rather than the attacks she says she is experiencing.

I am curious though about how an ex-Councilwoman (who ran for Mayor) would obtain another Councilwoman's private e-mail and that of a private citizen? And why/how would this be shared with Brobbio/BBurgis?
