Endangered Queens Quaker Parrots: What To Do?

Endangered Queens Quaker Parrots: What To Do?

Numerous sources have sent me e-mail over the past few days about the dire situation in Whitestone, Queens. It appears that Con Edison conducted a massive nest removal, destroying all of the wild Quaker Parrot nests in the area. This action was taken at the worst possible time for the birds, given the treacherously cold weather the region is experiencing. While the parrots seem to have disappeared, it's quite possible that some have survived and are hungry and cold. My suggestion for residents of Whitestone who want to help the parrots is to fill up their bird feeders and scatter bird food around. The parrots are very intelligent creatures and they will quickly flock to any kind human offering them sustenance.

That is one of the possible way to help the endangered beautiful species of parrot on earth but this can only be done by some of the individuals, is there any other way to help these lovely birdies.
